Efficient catalytic pyrolysis from plastic waste into oil as feedstock

Pyrolysis is used for those plastics that cannot be mechanically recycled. It thermally degrades plastics at high temperatures within an inert atmosphere, converting waste plastics into energy in the form of solid, liquid, or gaseous fuels. High operating costs and low quality output products currently limit the use of this technology.

Our long-lasting machines are designed for low maintenance. Compared to current technologies, Pyrolyst produces more and higher quality fuels, features continuous residue discharge and dechlorination at only 420°C. Compared to rotary kiln type pyrolysis, our system is more efficient, more compact, and produces a higher grade of oil. Lower OPEX leads also to higher profit margins.

Pyrolyst for Tires

Currently, tires are deposited in landfill after use. Pyrolyst can be used to process for tire recycling. Due to the absence of oxygen in the process, carbon is output as carbon black rather than CO2. This makes Pyrolyst for Tires an environmentally friendly method to deal with the large amounts of tire waste created every year.

Pyrolyst for Medical Waste

Simarly, to handle medical plastic waste incineration is the only option. This releases huge amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere.
Regular technologies cannot handle hazardous medical waste, but Pyrolyst can!
We recently completed a feasibility study for the carbonization of 100kg/h medical plastic waste.
It is true that carbonisation requires a lot of energy and is therefore expensive. Pyrolyst is different. Oil is generated from the plastic waste. This oil fuels the carbonization.
Another problem is PVC. It destroys regular machines. Pyrolyst neutralizes the Chlorine and outputs it as chemical grade HCl, that can be sold as another revenue stream.

This makes Pyrolyst for Medical Waste an environmentally friendly method to deal with the large amounts of medical plastic waste created every year.
